"Send Off-By the Numbers:-September 1st, 2006-1:07
Shots of Peach Schnapps taken by me: 2 Shots of Peach Schnapps needed for me to get so drunk: 1 Number of People that bought food: 2 Number of Layers in the dip I brought: 7 Number of Full Throttles in a case: 4 Number Full Throttles I had(including the one from yesterday): 3 Number recommended on the can: 1 I'll tell you...I think I own shaving products that have less alcohol than Schnapps. It's a big joke at the Firm to get my drunk because I do silly things. Pretty much everybody was there (expect Mark, but he's up North.) I now have Angela's email which is nice. I'm all set for school. Everything prepped/locked and loaded. I thumbed through my Into Philo text and got a headache. Let's all laugh together: Elizabeth's mum made her go to the Kwat Orientation even though I said it was pointless. Oh, and she's a Ravenclaw...meaning I'm in the "loser" house. Done and done? Closing shift tomorrow. Oh snap, did you see the covering CSRs we had for the night? One of them looked like a Irish Skinhead member of ZZtop who just served a bid in Kingston. Oh Youtube...Alexis Denisof without the accent...SO WEIRD! -Cleric

"Lessons"-September 1st, 2006-1:31
Mood: Better I think it was the careful balance between alcohol and caffeine that kept me from a bad hang over. I'll have to remember that for the next time I go on a "drinking binge." But come on, I should already know: Caffeine can solve all your problems. "If it ever comes down to a choice of doing what is easy and doing what is right, do what is right."...Do I have to? I've been trying to think of a theme song for this semester of school. Oddly it's probably going to be "A Bird Flies Out" by the Weepies, "This Could Be Anywhere in the World" by Alexisonfire or anything from "Painted by Memory" by Elvis Costello. If you don't get it, all those songs/album are wildly different. All creative writing teachers seem to agree: Chinatown is the best damned movie ever written. It was Friessen told me a couple years ago and I gleamed that from the book I bought for the class. I wonder if we have that to rent....I should look in to it. No, I didn't actually need to book tuesday off, but since I did: I can watch the season 3 premiere of House! Woo. I might actually study this semester....Wow, that sounds odd. -Cleric

"Complaints"-September3rd, 2006-3:10
Mood: Ugh I don't usually say this, but worked sucked today. I know I say we have "crazy" customers...this one could have actually been clinically classified as having a mental disorder. The other guy was simply really angry. Fuck, all this makes me appreciate education. Working for 4 months solid makes writing term papers and exams fun. It only took a month of moving boxes to make me realize that. I'm going to put a candle under Elizabeth and get OotP back before class starts. Of course, it's always difficult to smuggle Futon items in and out of her house. I could always bring my bag around... Speaking of bags(not really) I've been working out the logistics of carrying a laptop in my normal school bag and not a dedicated laptop one. Apparently there are sleeves...ooooo, neoprene. Once class starts I might look into purchasing a little laptop with only the basics. Words, Web and Sound. Wouldn't cost more than 700...since I did the pricing for mums I know the game. All my writing ideas come from throw away comments. I have something that might turn into a CRWR screenplay based on a conversion Matt L. and I had at the last party. I'm not going to say what it is yet, but it is definitely geekier. I think it even makes more sense than Special Special Forces Vampires. (Sigh) I rented out one of my hidden Gems tonight. I hope it gets a positive review. I like Wasabi. Oh ugh. Long ass shift tomorrow that I simply do not want to go to. All the caffeine and willpower will let you down at one point or another. I rented two selfish movies for myself: Rounders and Rules of Attractions. I've seen bits and pieces of both. Matt Damon and Edward Norton playing Poker looks like a hoot and anything that's “sequel” to American Psycho gets points in my book. Done and done. Tomorrow and Monday...then I'm back in academia, which I welcome this time. Even stats. Because you can beat stats...you can't beat an angry customer. (oh burn) -Cleric

"Conditioned"-September 4th, 2006-1:35
Work was work. This being my last summer weekend shift for sometime was reason to be happy. Stupid kids. Oh, also…stupid guy trying to take porn. I came busting through that door like a hot damn. Woo me. Matt put on V during the close and I finished off with my copy at home. I do love that movie and second time around it is so much better than the first night in the theatre. That, and my PV copy works flawlessly. Despite the fact I like pumpkin flavoured goods, it should not be used in a frappuccino. No. The sample shot was ok but I don't think I would pay for nor drink an entire one. I take my coffee based beverages very seriously. It's been staring at me from the shelves: A new copy of the movie "Malice." You know, that one I found for a woman based on vague details. I'll give it another week and if she doesn't come back for it, I'll buy it. Any movie that Robert Hare references in his books has to be a killer criminology movie. Ha, I just said killer. Booo. Speaking of references, I keep thumbing though my screenwriting text and notice they reference a lot of movies. Being in my position, I'll probably be watching all these movies that have good screenplays (like Shawshank Redemption and Y tu Mama Tambien.) I remember a friend I know out at film school says they almost teach writing by showing you what a good screenplay is. He sadly hasn't seen Chinatown. Neither have I mind you, but I should. I probably won't get to either of the movies I have rented out. Someone wanted Rounders today and I informed them it would probably be returned tomorrow...*shifty eyes* You know what, I take that back. I shouldn't be celebrating tonight because tomorrow's shift...being: A) Monday B) Stat holiday C) Day before School Man...We’re fucked! -Cleric

"Kwat: Round 3?"-September 5th, 2006-11:51
Work was work. Not the worst Monday, but it wasn't the best shift ever.(Almost) Class begins once again tomorrow. I should see which one I have tomorrow: Either Philo or Poli Sci...because Stats is Thursday and Creative Writing is online. Duh...to coin a native phrase. I have grand plans to get up hella early and renew my gym membership and workout for an hour before class. Of course that would be a waste of time because it's going to be one of those first day courses: "Hello, this is the course outline...this is the book...go home...." I'm a little sad that Steve Erwin died..."no one ever suspects the Stingray" as Angela said today. The Mark and Saint "relationship" is getting more odd and everyone at the Firm is trying to figure it out. I've washed my hands of the whole thing. I'm no ones middleman(well...maybe) I've made up my mind: I'm buying Malice...Aaron Sorkin wrote it... Wow....I guess I have nothing important to say today... Do I ever? no...not really -Cleric

"Youngin'"-September 6th, 2006-1:33
I don't even know where to start this one... Was it even Kwatlen round 3? Probably. Anyway, Into Philo is interesting; of course it feels like high school because it's full of complaining 18 year old girls and a 23 year old crim major named Sarah, which isn't so bad. Needless to say: I felt so old today. I'll also add Kwantlen is under major construction. The library and the lounge are gutted. I can't even find the door for the library. Give it a week. All the noobs will drop and go home. Yeah, I booked today off but Matt D felt sick and I was called in to close. Yes, I missed House but I can always make it up on DVD and it's better to do my duty and help out a comrade then watch a show. Britany came by later (as did Staci) and Britany saw the House episode and informed me it was quite good. I'll have to get the rest of the debriefing from the parentals tomorrow. So work was work and to balance the fact all the bratty kids have gone back to school, I just get all the angry people. I even told Matt I was sorry in the note, but those were the orders. (Sigh) You think I like getting people angry for my pennies every week? So Staci, Mark, Britany and I went out for dinner at BP and geeked out with Stargate and I finally explained to Staci the make up of CANEXFORCOM, which is the non canon RPG Canadian SGC Team. Apparently Britany is doing an inventory at four, so I bought her dinner and walked her home. We're both having "bad" relationships right now. They both consist of little talking and no meaningful conversations. Add to that the fact none of our significant others like our main significant other (that made sense) though on my end, it is my fault(I say not so good things about Elizabeth...I don't mean to). I think there was a moment where I almost considered kissing Britany would be a good idea. It wasn't and I didn't but there was a terrible unfaithful moment. But come on, it was a moment where I almost considered an idea. That's at least 10 steps from actually doing anything. Like anything, this'll probably become story fodder. I guess I should mention I ran into Elizabeth on campus...who didn't bring OotP because she "Thought she wouldn't see me." I told her I would meet her...I even said I had a class after Philo to get out getting a ride with her mom. My mum said that was a new level of dedication in the hate department. I do take my hate very seriously. Not like I was impacted that much. The bus came 10 minutes later and I ran into Mark...who I talked to yesterday as he got off work/I got on work. He's taking 6 courses...(Sigh) Poor engineering bastard. Still have to get out and price laptops again. Dad has offered to go in half on it just because. I might take him up on it. -Cleric Bad Bad Boyfriend moment.... PS: Graeme is no longer my trusted ally against the forces of Evil. Mark has always been my trusted ally against the forces of Evil. Yeah, random... Work gossip is getting worse....

"Familars"-September 6th, 2006-2:44
Average day on campus. My Into to Poli Sci prof seems like a good guy so far. Hard accent, but I can understand him. Dr. Abiew(pronounced Ah-BEW) did take the whole class time explaining the course outline which I appreciated because most profs just hand the thing to you and tell you to get the book. A twin from down the street is in the class and a friend of Drew's as well. We had that moment where we both knew each other and just had to pick where. These days, going with "The Firm" is the best bet. Saw Frissen as I was going to class and caught up with on the bus later. I almost thought he wouldn't remember me... Apparently only 5 people including myself registered from his 1110 course. I remember he took a working vacation to Portugal and I asked about it. Of course in true Friessen style he talked all about it. Quite interesting indeed. Oh and he says that my Philo prof is a good guy. Katz. Tee hee. I started looking over the website for CRWR and I got worried last night because our fiction review short story is due on monday and I didn't have an idea saved and I couldn't come up with something original. My worry disappeared when I came up with a prequel in Poli Sci. 3 scenes, 2.5 pages each to make 5. I finally get to tell how Nick went to Rossdon and that terrible terrible hospital scene. But you should have seen me last night vainly trying to come up with a story started that wasn't cop or Sci-Fi related. I even tried to use Elizabeth as a muse but nothing pleasant came out. I'll work on it. The relationship I mean…. I'll probably pound out the story tomorrow night to get over the normal stats anger. I sneeze fiction in 2000 words. "Let Him Go" was 2100. I did that in 2 days. Done and done. I'll get a bite to eat and start prepping...ugh...Stats. -Cleric

"Social Being"-September 8th, 2006-4:11
I banged out a story, cut out a part and now I'm looking at 1200 words I have to edit then write the rest of it. Yes, it sucks, but this one is about speed. 4 Days from concept to final? That's tough. I had to give myself a crash course in flashbacks. Woo me. What I'm trying(really really hard) to do with this story is give all of Nick's background without saying it. So the opening story says he's ERT and a detective. A piece of clothing says he was in the army. A lone picture on a dresser says who Melissa is without going blah blah blah. Oh and I don't have to get a character to say "Come on man, you were in the army." I leave hints and clues then let the reader finish off the thought. I just have to deal with that terrible hospital scene. I just can't write "bad characters" that are sarcastically evil. I need to write assholes....actual malicious domestic rapists....or not. Just one. Stats was Stats. Omar is back along with a couple of Seaquam Alumni (from my grade and otherwise.) I decided to pick up some dinner after and I ran into a girl from the class. It took her a second to realize who I was after she started conversation.(Wait, after) We sat together and chit-chattered then she went to the bus. I think he name was Maria. She looked like a Maria. I think I'm "slick" when I can add in the Harry Potter story AND the fact I have a girlfriend...Kind of. I'll get back to you on that one. I want my damned Potter Book Back! I can be social...even when I'm talking about nothing like classes, jobs and Smarties Semantics. Apparently the active ingredient in most energy drinks is Taurine...which according to Wikipedia, is a main component of Cat Food. Thanks Wikipedia, I think.... You know...Taurine makes me think Tauri...which makes me think Stargate...then I think about it...the Logistics of Staci, Mark and I getting show accurate SGC uniforms is going to be nuts. - G8 WEP Flight Jacket
- BDUs
- Vest(Blackhawk Omega or EOD)
- Belts
- Holsters
- Pistols(I want a P226 because we are a Canadian Team. Staci and Mark are set on M9s...because McKay has a M9. I don't know why Mark wants an M9)
- P90s
- Chest Slings
- Lights
- Hats(Like Daniel's Boonie...and Jack's "through the washer/dryer a 1000 times ballcap"
 - Boots
- Fake Radios
- Fake M9 Field Knife
ARGH. I hope we have 600+ each to spend....but if we do, that's why we've agreed to go black...because we can wear the jackets afterwards and not look weird. Come to think of it, the patch site I found with SG22 patches no longer seems to exsist. According to Britany her and Rob are just friends. Sure...and Elizabeth and I are getting married! No...Not really.... Since I missed the season premiere of House, I'm not really in the TV mood. Though I did watch the 2nd episode of Alias on Space and that made me happy. This was back before JJ Abrams did Lost and had to make Alias stupid for some reason. Oh, I know Jennifer Garner isn't that old, but she looks so much hotter in the earlier episodes. Not like I'm vein, it's just an observation. I think I'll be better when NCIS starts...I'm getting by with ReGenesis. Done and done? Yeah, I'm going to work out in three hours. I have a class and a closing shift today too. Yay for me. -Cleric
