The Life One Leads
Yep. I'm not dating Staci. Nope, but Celeste at the Starbucks next door thinks we are. It proves she doesn't know a thing about Staci because if she did, Celeste would realize how silly that statement was. I told Mark that later and he laughed... Of course Celeste asks "Are you dating?" I go no. "Not even secretly?" Answer, still no....which admits we're overtly dating, but we're not dating AND we're not keeping it a secret. I'm not a mysterious person...I wouldn't even last three days! I'd make a terrible secret agent...at least the "Secret" part.
...can you believe Celeste even said we made a cute couple?...I'm not tipping them 10 bucks* at Christmas this year.... I used to get that all the time with Saint. Especially in high school when she used to wait in the weight room while I was working out... Heck, we did in Whistler when the maid offered to put our beds together. Saint handled it the way she always does with total strangers, informs them infact we are siblings. We can get away with it too. Staci and me? While she has told people we are like "brother and sister"(I think that's how she introduced us to Gislain)...we don't really look it**. At least I have a grip on reality and I know where my fantasies end and real life begins.
Work was pretty awesome until those last 10 minutes where are the computers died and my only four transactions of the day were manuals...and I HATE manuals. I rented "Weird Science" since I caught the beginning of it on Space Friday morning and "Ill Fated." I have no idea what it's about, but if you get Peter Outerbridge with Callie and Billy from Battlestar...it has to be fun. A Customer rented it last week and I glanced on the back and said "Whoa, what a Canadian movie! It looks awesome!"I should start writing the ultimate Canadian movie with all this spare time I have coming up. So it'll have David Hewlett, Nicole deBoer, Callum Keith Rennie AND Peter Outerbridge can play another badguy, since he's good at that. I don't even have a script yet, but I'm halfway through casting. Maybe I can get the budget to secure Ellen Page...since I probably won't get the budget for Natalie Portman. One can dream... I can't believe I get SUNDAY AND MONDAY off leading up to the inventory. I feel like I should be working more these days, but I do have class despite that doesn't eat up as big of a chunk of time as it used to. Oh, Staci and I are hanging out today....
...Done? Done. I finished the Demolisher this morning, decals and all. To hell with what the codex vaguely says. Other army lists I've seen for the Inquisitions has had Demolishers and Basilisks in it..... -Cleric

Maybe it's the new meds...but today was pretty awesome despite being a very long day. but my days are always good when I work with Staci. Days become even better when I can have a Stargate chat with a customer...even better when you find out she's a local actress who yes, played a blonde scientist(Season 10-Bounty) that hit on Dr. Daniel Jackson. I looked it up too, it's legit! She also informed Staci and myself that she has worked on Atlantis too..and we'll keep a look out. It's always nice to support people working on the local projects like Psych, Battlestar etc... If she had gotten a Supernatural gig, she would have become Staci and my new favourite customer...well, she's on the list...without gaining true regular status.
I even managed to get...well, I guess that would be dinner with Staci...since she was off at 5 and I took my break around the same time. I got a coffee and a bowl of soup from the new mini Tims that opened near work. I needed the soup since I hadn't eaten all day. And it's nice to see her "Bad Horse" ringtone attached to her messages make her smile everytime she gets a text. Snap, I'm tired...and I need a shave. Done? Yeah, Done. -Cleric

Kwantlen offers two "film" courses but really, they are cultural anthropology exploring culture through film...those being German and Japanese culture...which would be pretty awesome as I've said before. I just keep thinking of my own courses: Exploring Modern Israeli Culture through Film: An excuse to watch Natalie Portman movies for credit. Exploring Canadian Culture through Film: An excuse to watch Cube and other David Hewlett movies for credit. Staci can help me. Speaking of Staci, I caught an interview with Nathan Fillion on Craig Ferguson...and besides being hilarious he mentioned the Dr. Horrible Soundtrack had been released on iTunes. I rushed to the computer, downloaded it, burned it to a CD and put it on my phone. I spent the early afternoon bluetoothing them to Staci's phone. She in turn found a program and by the end of the night had a "Bad Horse" ringtone on her phone. I'm still trying to figure the damn thing out. Nope, I'm not going to talk about school. Not about how old I feel in Philo 1110 and how I needed a mosquito net to get through the first one since someone allowed a colony of flying ants to move into the corner. Shawn is in the Crim course, that'll come in handy for an interview project we have to do. Mum is back teaching and she rented a brilliant film for her students. Ok, no. She didn't. She went in and rented "Never Back Down." No one was on the floor helping since she wondered around the Ds looking for "Don't Back Down." Mum agrees that one of the new guys is fairly useless considering she watched Staci run around the store dealing with a million questions at once. Hell, while I was waiting for Staci after her break, he sent a couple over to do to discuss wireless options. The couple points behind the counter and says "oh, that fellow told us you could help with phones." I look at them and smile saying "Well, normally I would...but I'm not working today." So there was something else going on in "Life Before Her Eyes." I knew it since there was discernable difference in time between the teenage and adult characters. The cars were the same. The tech was the same....Oh, 10 points for those movie geeks who caught "Way of the Gun" on Uma Thurman's TV during the movie. The sound was right when they showed the scene where the two bodyguards are returning fire outside the clinic. Awesome. My god, TVA Productions has to be paying us big time since three of the movies out this week are produced by them. None of them seemed to get any mainstream theatre time...and I haven't been paying attention to the festivals. "Then She Found Me" looks fun. Colin Firth, Helen Hunt in a midlife crisis romantic comedy. Hunt directed it too. " My Sassy Girl" looks like a Pixie fairy movie...just like Garden State, Elizabethtown and Annie Hill. The term isn't mine, but it refers to that movie where the main character is a boring straight arrow guy and a crazy free thinking pixie fairy girl (Natalie Portman, Kirsten Dunst, etc) appear and show them something more. One could say I'm living in my own Pixie Fairy movie. I just have to choose between the girls, once being the Fairy and one being the equally mystical yet bookish girl I haven't seen in 3 years, but who keeps checking in on me. You know, Dani wondered on my facebook wall if I had graduated yet. Nope. I have to dodge that one on a daily basis. Yes I had a small setback. Yes I'm fine now. Maybe I'm not as academic as I thought I was. Maybe I am and I need a higher dosage. Or maybe I'm done with Crim this close to the finish line. I still have "The Counterfeiters" which I'll get to tomorrow after work and after I read the chapter for Friday's class. So, seeing "Life Before Her Eyes" knocks down one of three Pay Per Days this week. The other two being "August" and "Then She Found Me." I think. Come on, I put them out Monday night...but I didn't pay attention. Staci has flawless copies of Dr. Horrible songs on her phone and she's happy. She has a day off today playing at the company softball game while I work. It's always nice to see her happy. It's always nice to see her....except when she's eating it a peach but somehow disgusting and hilarious at the same time. I'm calling the basecoat on the Demo Tank done....I'll probably blast through the Sentinels then attempt another Sister of Battle before I finish the tank. Not like the tank will take me a lot of time.....I might even get to paint my henchmen. The Acolyte looks like fun. I might need some orange....and for the record, I don't even really know what a Dialogous. is....except they are part of a non militant order of the Sisters of Battle and are classified as Sage henchmen…so I even need to know more? Done? Done. -Cleric

...I wrote the earlier entry at four in the afternoon and it made no sense. What I'm writing now at almost 1:30 just might make more sense. Work was...Work. The new guy is learning as he should be, but if I have to give another "Lock left on" Credit, I don't know what I'm going to do. The way you avoid that is your read the disc for the name of the film, not the box. It also forces you to check it and make sure the movie is in there. Looking at what's out new this week besides the wealth of TV shows including the new Supernatural season, the Office and Life are several surprising little titles that look alright. The two "big ones" this week I can already tell won't rent as well as previous week big ones....since they look fairly intelligent and those renting "Scorpion King 2" or "Postal" aren't. Yep, I'm a movie elitist, but that makes me good at what I do. The next person to rent "American Poop" dies....and I have to see which one of us let "Edison Force" get back out since I had to put one away a few days ago. ....So Wait...I'm not working today....Staci isn't working today....The Sarge isn't working today...wow, it's Mark and Scott with the New Guy and the Old New Guy(Or New Old Guy, I can't remember what Scott and I agreed on) the entire day. Apparently I get Wednesday all to myself. No Class. No work. Thursday is the 11:30-7 to cover everyone at the company softball game...but it's the Sarge and Brett throughout the day, so I'll be fine. Staci and The Lt. stayed behind last year, so Staci gets to go this year. Really, I can't picture her doing anything athletic. She admits she's not a "fitness" sort of person...but she does picture herself a paramedic, which I can see....more in a "body scraping" sort of way...less in a caring way, but she can be caring. I've seen it. She helped a guy who took at tumble off his motorcycle into oncoming traffic near her place. Britany showed up during the shift. I kept my mouth shut, but I wanted to tell Mark why I'm against Britany. You can't speak about the two people I care about the most like that.... It just doesn't work that way. He should know simply because it would explain the silence when Britany shows up. I've told him I've had my problems with Britany in the past without going into anything specific. Telling him would both expose my feelings for Staci to him...which I still have, just not as irrational as they used to be...and Britany's dislike for Saint...which Mark would take offense to. ...Working on it. Speaking of that, Saint has been MIA for some time now and has missed at least two promised contact periods. I've texted and facebook walled and still nothing. It's not like my old phone, I'm connected 24/7...unless you call me at three in the morning when I work that next day. Holy Shit, when Miller did that, I freaked. I assumed it was dire news....but he wondered if I wanted to hang out. I informed him I worked in less than 7 hours and was sound asleep...his answer? "But all my car club friends are up....." And you know...some things always lead me to believe Britany has made me on this site. I don't know what it is. There's something else going on with her....and if you knew Britany, that's pretty hard. Ohhhhh, Burn! Speaking of burning, my acolyte is based...still have to flock and prime him...I also have to decide which "book" will constitute his wargear.....either book has something to do with table edge placement...and I have no idea what that is yet....but the brazier of holy fire is on his list...and that thing is awesome...flamer template on per battle.... Done? Done. I'm going to watch the rest of the NCIS marathon on History. I just caught that awesome with Abby and her stalker.....now I remember why Staci loves this show...Abby and her wackiness (just like Staci, sort of) and Tony/Gibbs. Yes, that's a slash. -Cleric

About three hours until I work...give or take. I managed to get coffee with Staci on her break. We agreed it was nice to have these little moments outside of work together. It looks like myself, Brother Mark, Staci and the Sarge all have Tuesday off. Staci suggested we get out to Playland as planned previously in the summer, but since I have class the entire day it's not a viable option. Too bad, we need something to top that pic with all of us (and Britany) with those fuzzy Viking hats we "won" on the midway. Staci warned me that I shouldn't attempt the inventory before class next week. She advised I should look out for "number 1." I pointed to her and she laughed then claimed I should look after "number 2." I told her that I'm way down the list and she'd have to keep going. We sat outside underneath the umbrella ans Staci mentioned she her hands were cold obviously due to her cold toffeenut latte, she placed her hands on the back of her neck and commented that her neck was warm. I grinned and told her that I should haven't known that. You can make of that what you will. I'm still trying to shotgun to get that Stats course. I'll try every morning and every time I can get near a computer for more than 10 minutes. Pyro is watching football in the other room, so I have the time....that and he wants me to bring home green licorice today after work. I've been thinking of throwing together both a Fall reading list(since I'm not taking a writing or an English course) and a watching list. I might start on other graphic novels and other pop fiction novels. I might finally read Chuck Palanuik's "Choke", since that's becoming a movie soon. The watching list will contain no new releases. All 7 Day. Titles might include: - Altered States: Never watched that during perception
- Scent of a Woman: as a lead up to Righteous Kill
- Brotherhood of the Wolf: Been told alot
- Swing Kids*: Bale + RSL in Nazi Germany? Woo
- Wonder Boys*: Writer move with Maguire and Robert Downy Jr...which is even funnier now after Tropic Thunder.
There are several more that will come to be as I do returns tonight. *It might be part of a double bill at Staci's since I have yet to either of those films...and Hell, I own "Wonder Boys"! Should be an alright night considering we'll be four people strong when I get there at 7 for an hour or so. Brett is out at 8 and Robin at 9. Brother Mark and I close once again. We should have a time of it than yesterday....but hey, Staci didn't seem too cross at me when we had coffee. My inquisitor lord will have a "personal" guard platoon simply because it's difficult(for me anyway) to convert pewter models into anything. I'm sort of looking at them as "stormtrooper field trainees" Oh, I'll try to pick up some green stuff tomorrow after class since I can't fit the Crusader into his base.....and it's always nice to have green stuff lying around. Done? Done. I still have a few hours to myself. -Cleric

It's not my shift later today...or any of the other upcoming shifts this week during my first week back at school. It's the idea doing a 12-8 Inventory with a class at 12:00. Really, it's not like I've never stayed up the night before than gone to class. This time, I get paid for it and I don't have a paper due. ....I still haven't gotten the last course in, but I have until the 12th to settle all that. I hope someone drops Crim stat within the first 24 hours. I can still hate my Sunday Shift. Long weekend Sunday with a newbie. Apparently the Sarge has taught him next to nothing....like how to answer the phone...A newbie can't really stand on their own until they hit 3 weeks or 200 transactions...whichever comes first. Also, putting away at least 5 days of porn doesn't make my day better. Oh...and no Staci, but that's expected on a Sunday. At least she sent me a hilarious Eddie Izzard clip this morning. I picked up my henchmen today. It'll be my last 40k purchase for the foreseeable future besides the two shades of green I use for my Cadians. I've been thinking of creating a dedicated private guard unit for my Inquisitor. Not quite Cadian 812, but not quite Stormtrooper. It'll be a kit bash: 1. Box of Cadians 2. Box of Catachans 3. Stormtrooper Sarge to represent officer 4. Large amounts of green stuff That'll give me roughly four squads...but more probably just two... squads and a platoon command squad. I'm trying to mimic the look of the Guard army in the rulebook. The one where they explain how to build campaigns?...my god, one of those guard has a watch on....why didn't I think of that? Priests are only good for Sister Repentia...since they're the only ones that need to rush into Assaults and cut the heretic into ragged chunks with an eviscerator. I'll get a box of those when I learn how to paint skin better, since those Sisters wear very little. My god, the one of the cover of the codex just has parchment! So...Anything else? Nope. Maybe I'll actually meet people at Kwantlen this year. Pff. Yeah right. I don't need anymore new people. I'm barely keeping up with all the people I have around me. It's just family + Saint, Mark, Staci and the assorted work people...and the regulars...the question "You're still here?" is getting to bug me though. My answer should be "Of course I'm still here, what would you do without me?" Maybe I should start uploading pictures from my phone onto facebook...maybe that's how I'll spent Tuesday morning, since I really have nothing better to do. Oh, except class, but that's at noon....I think. -Cleric

Today went rather well considering a lot was going against me. It's a soul draining Saturday DlK with no Staci since she has a day off. That's hard enough as it is...but a shift that started with a three phone family plan(That's good commission)and fairly high numbers...it wasn't all bad. And yeah, I'm happy that Staci has the day off. She needs the two days off. Me? Well, I get a few more off this week due to class, but that's it. No longer "Day Off"...just "Days Not Working." No matter. Staci and I have revised plans to go to the little Indian place she knows near Kwatlen. Shawn once told me is wasn't too good...and really, his word on Indian food should trump everyone elses, but I need an excuse to hang out with Staci. Well, I don't... I rented Mercs 2 the other day before street date since I can. I'm excited just by the fact it is out for the 360. I know in the early stages it was a pS3 exclusive title...and that would have sucked since "Too Human"..the latest Mircosoft Title wasn't that good. How can you have a game where you don't control the camera angles? (Sigh) I need to get off of facebook. Yes, it gives ample opportunity for people to post things about me being a Panda, and that's alright....but it allows me to do such stupid things as randomly comment about Dani watching "The Last King of Scotland" and making a James McAvoy reference...and of course, she loves James McAvoy...really though...who doesn't? I know both Staci and Saint love the man, so now Dani and I are spending our valuable free time randomly writing on each other's wall about nothing....except House, which by the way, I always bring up......she did wonder why we were not the best of friends for both liking James McAvoy, but she obviously likes him for the same reason Saint does...and a different reason that Staci, since Staci isn't into touching..... Tomorrow! Sunday close with Brother Mark as we discuss army lists and wargear builds for our commanders. He's undertaking the difficult process of painting the banner for his Super Marines which completely lacks any molded design...unlike my Cadian one... We should start looking at days off and the GW September list since we have to get playing real games with all of our expensive models. I'm not buying anymore except for going in a third for Brother Mark's Landraider...since mum has laid down the gauntlet to go to England next summer....so I'll need as much money as I can get....for airfare, a laptop and spending money...and it's not like I'll never by another 40k model...the game was invented in the UK...I'm sure I can find one out there.... I should try to get into that Stats course on Sunday..... .....I never thought I'd say that..... Done? Done. -Cleric

I Swear, yesterday I wrote a lengthy and witty piece that discussed everything from Staci to Warhammer to the fact Ruby Rocket is fantastic looking as the Black Cat in a corset. It even has a link! But nope. That little odd shaped button the wireless mouse is a "back" button which I hit. Sigh for me. I think it may have dealt with how unhappy I was at Staci for some reason I can't care to remember. Sure, she almost tore my head off at 2 earlier in the day...but once she got off at 3:30 she suggested Sushi since sandwiches of any fashion were out of the question. We trekked off to the nearby Sushi place and I had the traditional dual makki plate...Tuna and Kappa. Staci has something fittingly known as the "Crazy" Roll...which is a California roll fried in something that resembles tempura batter. I know I'm 4th generation Canadian(So Wait....Grandpa, Dad and Me....No, I am 3rd generation Canadian...The aunts swear I'm 4th)...Sorry, I'm fairly Canadian, but all of my Japanese side shouted at this odd deep fat fried fusion. I had a piece, it was fantastic. Of course anymore than one piece would be too much. I should point Pyro into that direction, since he loves California Roll and anything fried. I can't get mad at Staci. She's working hard and getting stressed. She's allowed to lash out everynow and then..... Work was Work. Very busy for Thursday. Something about training shifts make it seem worse....Maybe it's because we have Five people on yet three of them can't do anything. The weather is working against us too. Rainy back to school weather. Speaking of school, I have a couple things: 1) I can't get into Stats. It's full...So I'll shotgun the web register thing every morning until someone drops. It happens. 2) Pyro is going to school out at the trade college. Of course, the Big Man Child has no idea how to get there on public transit...so Older Brother has to step up and guide the way....on my only day off. I won't hold it against it for long. At least we're seeing Tropic Thunder again. Well, I'm seeing it again. I just got back from it with Brother Mark and it was awesome. It was full of movie geek inside jokes. Robert Downey Jr. rocked playing Russell Crowe...and Tom Cruise...well, I won't ruin it. Even Brother Mark claimed he might start watching Tom Cruise movies again. Done? Done...I'm tired. I guess it’s for the best that I erased the last entry. It was a little ranty. Aren’t they all? -Cleric
